Inspector Flytrap in The President's Mane is Missing by Tom Angleberger
This is another in the very silly intermediate series by Tom Angleberger. In this one our hero, a Venus flytrap PI, is called upon to find a missing mane of a statue of the President (who is a horse). The story involves giant flies from outer space and is nearly too ridiculous for words. Bell's illustrations match the over-the-top tone of the story. The thing is, I could imagine that a 6 year old might think it was hilarious. (2016. 96p.)
